Activity: Football Match

In April 2017, Paul Barzey former senior Youth Worker at BYCP invited 18 young people aged 13-18 and 14 police officers from Thames Valley Police to play football on a field on the Britwell Estate.  For many years he has organised matches between police and various communities, but this was the biggest match yet.  Police officers played against the young people from Britwell, Wexham and Chalvey. Police won the match 6-4, but Paul said: ‘I’ve had an email from the police officers who said it was the best one they’ve done so far.  I hoped that by bring the youth and police together, a better relationship between the two could be developed.  ‘’It’s about breaking down barriers really.  Officers have said they want the event to be held twice a year now.
